The Heart of Histon Manor’s Charity Days: Our Volunteers
At Histon Manor, we are incredibly proud of the community spirit that surrounds everything we do — and none of our charity events would be possible without the kindness, energy and dedication of our volunteers.
From welcoming visitors at the gates to serving tea and cake during our Snowdrop Walks, from helping run the Histon Manor Dahlia and Village Show to supporting our Cambridgeshire Plein Air Artist of the Year Award, volunteers are there at every stage of the day. Our volunteer cake bakers also make a huge difference to the funds raised and of course our visitors experience as their cakes taste so wonderful!
Across events our volunteers give their time generously and with great goodwill. These events raise important funds for charity while also bringing the community together to enjoy the gardens, creativity, and shared experience of being outdoors.
Our volunteers help with set-up and stewarding, guide visitors through the grounds, prepare and serve refreshments, support artists and exhibitors, manage parking, and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Their contribution transforms these occasions into successful and welcoming events.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who gives their time, skills and positive energy. Your support is what enables us to continue hosting charity days and opening the grounds for the benefit of the wider community.
If you would like to volunteer at a future event, or know someone who might be interested, we would be very pleased to hear from you. Plaese just drop us an email at histonmanor@gmail.com. Im not quite sorted enough to have a volunteer database yet so please do get in touch if you see an event advertised you’d like to help at.
